There are many experiences throughout our lives that shape and mold us into the people we are today. The time I spent at Yale for Orthopaedic Residency was clearly a changing point in my life and a time when my aspirations and career goals came into better focus. I was blessed with countless mentors to emulate and fellow residents who shared similar ideals.
This weekend many of us reunited in NYC at the Yale Club. All of us with one common background. We all learned our craft at Yale. From recent graduates to some of Wayne Southwick’s first residents.
It was a collegial weekend for us to gather to celebrate our shared history and traditions, our friendships, and our profession.
Preston Phillips said it best in his speech, “no matter how long it has been, when we get back together we pick up right where we left off. Like family!”
Thank you to Ken Kramer and the YOA board for a wonderful weekend and scholarly program, and for supporting Sarcoma Strong.
