Sarcoma patients and families have unique concerns and quality of life issues not seen with all cancers.  Choices constantly need to be made.

Limb salvage vs amputation?

Chemotherapy or no chemotherapy?

Radiation therapy or no radiation therapy?

Pre-operative radiation or post-operative radiation?

More than 50-60% of patients will have disease control with standard multidisciplinary care.

It is the other 40-50% where our energy is focused.  Finding answers to those questions is hard because of the rarity of sarcomas and the  heterogeneity (variability) amongst different types of sarcoma.
