Swiss Sarcoma Network: Improving the lives of Sarcoma Warriors in Europe

Recently, I attending a webinar sponsored by the Swiss Sarcoma Network (SSN) entitled “Areas of Improvement for Sarcoma.” It was wonderful to connect virtually with colleagues from Europe and around the world. The host, Professor Bruno Fuchs, an Orthopaedic Oncologist in Zurich Switzerland put together an informative webinar with ample time for questions and interaction. Dr. Fuchs was instrumental in bringing the Swiss Sarcoma Network to light and SarcomaStrong applauds his and his teams efforts to improve the quality of care delivered to sarcoma patients in Switzerland.

The Swiss Sarcoma Network missions focus on improving the quality of sarcoma care through education, teaching, and research. The group seeks to establish guidelines and pathways for compassionate, timely care. Forming this comprehensive multi-disciplinary team with a common vision will greatly enhance the care for their patients in Switzerland. By forming a registry of sarcoma patients their treatments and outcomes can be rigorously analyzed in ongoing research endeavors.

I applaud their efforts and their website serves as a great resource to the sarcoma community especially when it comes to their guidelines for patient care. Visit the site at https://swiss-sarcoma.net Thank you Team Switzerland and we look forward to you being a bigger part of 2021 SarcomaStrong Global Virtual Event in August. Swiss SarcomaStrong Ambassador, Leanne Levitt, is leading the way for the team by increasing awareness of the event, encouraging engagement, and also offering her services as a personal trainer to sarcoma warriors around the world who want to get back to an active lifestyle. Looking forward to continued collaboration and to the NEXT Webinar in September.
