When you find what excites you, spend your days engaged in that activity.  It was this philosophy that is responsible for the birth of our Sarcoma Awareness Day that commenced in 2011.  After several years in practice it became apparent to me that the sarcoma community needed more than physicians that can care for them in an office or operating room or radiation suite.  The patients and families longed to have a Team that cared for them as individuals, and a Team that could Unite the collective experiences and aspirations of those affected by this rare and at times relentless disease.  In 2014 the Inagural Team Sarcoma 5k Event took place in Saratoga Springs and was an instant success.  From this SarcomaStrong was born.  Now with just days until the 3rd Annual Team Sarcoma 5k Run/Walk we are reaching our goals as an organization:

Increasing awareness of sarcoma

Advocating for our sarcoma families

Raising much-needed funds for sarcoma research
