For close to a decade St. Baldrick’s has been an inspiration to my family and community. I owe learning about St. Baldrick’s and the power of the organization to fund research in an effort to conquer kid’s cancer to, Ben Stowell. Benjamin was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2006 and he loved the idea of St. Baldrick’s events. It was a time of year he wasn’t the only bald kid. He liked the solidarity involved in those who pledged to shave in support of those battling cancer.
Millions of dollars have been raised.
Hundreds of research grants have been funded.
Treatments have improved thanks to the efforts of thousands of volunteers.
